ROMAIN is originally from the south of France and started training seriously around 10 years ago "Mainly because I was playing rugby and needed to put some weight on as I was very skinny at that time."
"With the years I got more and more into fitness. Last year I decided to try and compete in FAME UK Fitness Model Championship, and to my great surprise I managed to win the title."

"I train six times a week and I am relatively careful with my diet, trying to stay in shape all year long without losing muscle mass. My diet is very much based on eating very low carbohydrates during the week (mainly green beans and brocoli, with chicken, fish or red meat) and high carb during the week end, eating anything i want but doing some cardio to try and speed up my metabolism."

"I still play rugby from time to time and i run twice a week to keep a good cardio and stay as fit as possible. I have a full time job with a business i set up, so it takes a lot of my time and the challenge is to manage to find time for my fitness and socialising with my friends and family.
Modeling helped my to see my body from a different angle and i believe that with the help of Simon Barnes,over the last few months we manage to get better and better shots."

"I have always been a very athletically minded person even at school but being skinny my first reaction was to join a gym and see how I would get on.
Initially I wanted to concentrate on getting a better body, but now I train 5-6 times a week doing weights and good cardiovascular work to improve my conditioning. I have become a personal trainer as I love the sports industry and enjoy making people's dreams come true by achieving their fitness goals"

"I try to eat as healthily as possible as I find this is the real winner for achieving a lean tight physique.
I eat clean which means, no bread, pasta, or white rice. I eat mainly protein meals such as chicken, turkey, egg whites and tuna with a variety or different salads and cous cous to give my body a good amount of carbs, also sweet potato's and butternut squash are excellent sources or carbs in someone diet."

Modeling has allowed me to take stock of how my body really looks. Not only is it great fun but you can see your progress when you are working toward a specific goal

I do believe that adopting a healthy lifestyle but still enjoying your food is the best way to achieve your goals. It is not about giving up on everything you like, but a well balanced diet will make you stay healthy and allow you to get the look that you want

22 year old AJ stands an impressive 6'2" tall and weighs in at 90kg.
He has competed in Natural Bodybuilding Competitions many times at regional and at national level and won a national title but now he just enjoys the training.
"I love the gymnastics but this is just recreational. Flipping around and getting into the splits just makes me feel good! As does swimming."

"I have work as a fitness instructor so I like to stick to what I preach. Hard training and clean nutrition! I change my training regularly. My favourite regime is a 4 day split:
Legs,
Chest and Tricepes,
Back and Biceps,
Shoulders and Traps."

"Each session lasts between 50 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. It works a treat!!! I have one day put aside for the gymnastics, and swimming is whenever I fancy. I also spend a lot of time stretching as I love being flexible! For my nutrition I stick to between 5 - 9 meals a day depending on whether I am bulking or cutting up. It's nicer to stay lean though. My favourite meal is Pizza!!!!!! but this is on rare occasions!

But bodies like that dont come easy..he spends at least 5 sessions a week at his local gymand keeps to a high protein diet..unless he is tempted by his favourite food..Fajitas. Well we all have our weaknesses.
Although his head is in the clouds..he's a roofer by trade, his feet are planted firmly on the ground and he wants to succeed both as a fashion and fitness model.
His idols are Flex Wheeler and Danni Levy.

AT 24 years old JERRY E has everything..The Looks, The Body..and his very own Gym!
No I dont mean the abs bench thrown into the only space in the spare room, this one is the real McCoy.
With a growing membership and a second gym in the planning stage, Jerry could sit back and enjoy the rewards... but that's just not Jerry. He's a human dynamo who cant work enough to keep him happy. And he's not content with just owning two gyms, he's now embarked on a modelling career that has already taken him all over the UK.

After SAM meet SHANE
Standing 6'2" tall and weighing in at 91 kilos (thats 200 lbs!!) SHANE is a force to be reckoned with. But behind the big exterior is a guy with a great personality and sense of humour.
He has already got quite a few shoots under his belt including some with the UK's leading fitness photographers and he's bound to be in great demand with a build like his. Passionate about his gym regime, SHANE's ambition is to be well known in fitness and sports modelling. I wouldn't argue with him about that for one second!

Maybe a fitness shoot with SAM is called for..anyone else think that may be a good idea?? Let me know

APOLLO: RELEASE AUG 4th

The new issue of APOLLO MALE MODEL MAGAZINE features a collaboration between HOTSNAPZ and an amazing artist called VALERHON.
We have worked together on several occassions before but when he asked if I could find at least SIX models for a new project I was suprised to say the least. ..."They all need to be like Greek Gods, and in specific poses..I'll send you a list. Oh and one needs to be blonde...."
A blonde Greek god.....??? Hmmm.... JJ!!!!!!
I can't believe I havent featured JJ here before but he fitted the bill exactly.
Over 6'1" he'd just bleached his hair for his tour of "HERE COME THE BOYS" and boy is he built like a Greek God.
I'd known JJ since he came to live in the UK and we'd just had a feature published in DNA MAGAZINE (Issue 113) but he was in the middle of a busy rehearsal schedule for his show which meant he was still in LA. Luckily we managed a couple of hours on his return and shot what I needed.

Ollie has it all. Looking mean. masculine and maginifcent in set of moody black and white images, we have Adam C.
Adam is 21 and hails from the North Midlands where he can often be found workin hard in the gym.
And that work has certainly paid off as you can see... he is certainly well toned and, combined with his love of playing football, he has produced a body that cannot be ignored.
Adam hopes that he will not only attract attention on the street, but also in his career as a fitness model!
Somehow I think he might!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE WE HAVE REACHED OUR FIFTH SHOOT WITH THE GUYS FROM LA MUSCLE TV.
A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO SIMON HOWARD APPROACHED ME WITH A PROJECT HE HAD, AND ON A VERY COLD DAY WE HEADED OVER TO THE LA MUSCLE TV STUDIO TO DO OUR FIRST SHOOT.
NUMBER FIVE WAS SIMON WITH A REALLY GREAT GIRL CALLED DANI LEVI.
STYLED ON THE FAMOUS TYRE SHOT BOTH WERE COVERED IN GREASE AND DIRT AND WE ALL LAUGHED OUR WAY THROUGH THE NEXT HOUR.

I have a HUGE collection of unpublished pics, which do not fit in with my usual style or simply there are too few to include as a set.

25 year old JON SHIELD hails from the NW of England and is currently starting out in the fitness and fashion scene.

SAM caused quite a stir last Christmas on the Hotsnapz greeting card and I received a lot of requests then to do a follow up...so fourteen months later...here he is!!
A personal trainer and part time model, Sam is one of the biggest guys you're likely to bump into, and when you pick yourself up off the floor you realise that he really is huge.
Over six feet tall and nearly as wide he often has a massive grin on his face to show he's not mean at all...well not all the time.
I think he looks pretty good whatever his expression.

A thoroughly nice guy Stuart works as a carpenter in good old London Town, and spends his spare time at the gym or in front of the camera.

"I'm Nathan and I live in Solihull in the UK.
I thoroughly enjoy modelling and the challenges it presents. It inspires me to work harder in the gym to improve my body shape and overall look, which in turn becomes a method of recording what I’ve achieved in the gym. For me, the one really feeds and drives the other.
Modelling has changed my life in so many positive respects. I've worked with amazing photographers, with whom I’ve built up a great friendship and who have helped me put together a fantastic and varied portfolio which shows the many different styles of work I'm capable of."
That's what the portfolio said, so I was prepared to meet someone confident and experienced...
What I wasnt prepared for was the 36 year old (YES 36!!) dynamo that is NATHAN LEWIS. A completely down to earth nice guy, Nathan has ideas and enthusiasm by the bucketload and made a four hour shoot seem like four minutes.
A lesson for newer models is the time he takes not only to look after himself so that he looks great for every shoot, but the amount of care and effort he puts into every shot taken. NATHAN deserves any success he may achieve... look out for more shoots soon.

This week HOTSNAPZ MAINLY MEN is proud to present SIMON H.
Simon truly is one of a rare breed with the face of a fashion model and an amazing physique.
A competetive body builder, SIMON has recently embarked on a career in modelling and is so far unrepresented by an agency; but its a situation that wont last long with those looks!
We were very lucky to catch one of the rare times where his body is not shaved, and I think the hair suits him!
A thoroughly nice guy too, expect to see more of SIMON H in the very near future.

Most of you will realise that I love to style a model in a way that is totally opposite to their norm.
ARNO presented just such an opportunity.
A soft spoken French guy, who usually works as a stylist, ARNO decided to try his hand at modelling. He has the classic soft looks that you would normally find in a statue or a fine art painting, but here we see the other side too! The competitive sportsman, showing the aggression we all need to succeed!

Amazing Brazilian fashion model Vinicius was in London for a week recently in between shoots in Milan and Greece. A friend of mine in Brazil recommended I shoot with him and I didnt need asking twice! I think the results are pretty cool, but what else do you get from a Brazilian model like VINICIUS!
